All you Yankees above the Red River better get prepared. Our Mexicans learned to swim in the Rio Grande and are headed to the Red! We have provided the others with Swim Vests.

Come 1 hour south of Houston, go to the grocery store and the announcements are in English and Spanish along with the food and household items labels. As the billboards are too.
Get prepared our Northern friends!!

Berlyn,
Get prepared??? It's here!!! Spanish is everywhere I go, not to mention our hugh Korean influx that open business' with storefronts only in Korean. I now have the option to press#2 for spanish or #3 for Korean.
MY MOTTO IS....WHEN YOU COME TO AMERICA LEARN ENGLISH!!!! WHEN YOU COME TO THIS COUNTRY YOU NATIVE LANGUAGE BECOMES YOUR SECOND LANGUAGE. My mother and father both immigrated to this country and the first thing they did was go to night school to learn the language.

For the longest time, I had assumed that Illegal Immigration was an issue just affecting the border states, but I'm finding out that it's become much bigger than that. I'm all for LEGAL immigration, but I am totally offended when people don't follow our laws and come here without permission. When those same folks live here, but keep their homeland nationality (and their loyalties), I am concerned that our nation is filling up with people who wouldn't fight/die for their country, if necessary. Get enough of those numbers and over the generations you have a weak nation, no longer unified. I just can't figure out why our Gov't doesn't enforce our laws.
